Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
General & Eligibility
What is Clear RX Path? Clear RX Path is a professional prescription advocacy service. We act as your personal advocate to help you enroll in Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs) offered by pharmaceutical manufacturers, securing your brand-name medications at little to no cost.
Is Clear RX Path an insurance company or a pharmacy? No. We are neither an insurance provider nor a dispensing pharmacy. We are an independent advocacy firm that guides you through the complex application process, manages doctor coordination, and maintains ongoing program compliance on your behalf.
Who qualifies for prescription assistance programs? While each pharmaceutical company sets its own guidelines, general qualifications include:
Living in the United States or a U.S. territory.
Being uninsured, underinsured, or experiencing a gap in coverage (such as the Medicare Part D coverage gap).
Meeting household income criteria (typically 200% to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level).
What types of medications are eligible for assistance?
Most programs focus on high-cost, brand-name medications that do not have generic equivalents available (e.g., specialty medications, biologic therapies, chronic care maintenance drugs).
Process & Timeline
How long does it take to get approved? The approval timeline varies by manufacturer, but most applications take between 2 to 4 weeks once all required documents and physician signatures are submitted. We track your application daily to prevent unnecessary delays.
Do I need my doctor’s involvement? Yes. Pharmaceutical companies require a valid prescription and a signed medical section from your licensed healthcare provider. Clear RX Path handles all communication and faxing directly with your doctor's office so you do not have to manage the administrative back-and-forth.
How will I receive my medications once approved? Depending on the specific program, your medications will either be shipped directly to your home address or sent to your prescribing doctor’s office for administration.
Service & Account Support
What happens when my enrollment period expires? Most manufacturer assistance programs grant approvals for 12 months. Clear RX Path tracks your enrollment dates and automatically initiates your re-enrollment process before your coverage expires, ensuring seamless access without medication gaps.
How do I get started? Getting started is simple. Complete our online intake form on the homepage or Contact page, or call our advocate line at 833-695-3482. We will conduct a free initial review to determine which programs fit your specific needs.
